Hi everyone, hoped you all enjoyed the summer,(what do you mean, what summer!) anyway, Dawn has asked all who read her forum to let it be known that the shop in Accrington and the website are NOT CLOSING DOWN. She says that the rumour is getting a little out of hand, and that new products are actually being added and old favorites being brought back. Thanks for reading.

What she actually says is ...
Also, I have been inundated with Emails and messages asking me if it is true that Topaz has closed down! The answer is no it hasn't closed & we are trading as normal! In fact both the shop & the website are having a lot of new stock put on sale daily along with lots of "back in stock" items.

She also says that she doesn't know how all these rumours started.  I can answer that one - well, why people think she is closing down, not already closed down.  She started them by telling everyone that she was having to close the store, that all workshops would be honoured up to the end of March but the online business would continue 'for now'!  Seems she's got a very short and selective memory and doesn't like having repeated by others what she wrote in newsletters and on her blog back in January and repeated since.  Several of the staff she had left not long after as well and moved on to other things ... with her blessing.

and so on throughout ...

Anyway, if she's now changed her mind and is keeping the shop going that's a good thing I guess, for those that use it, but she really shouldn't blame others for starting something that came from her in the first place.

I'm pretty sure she actually said on TV that the shop was up for sale. So, if that's true it can hardly be called a rumour, more horse's mouth.

That's what she's saying now but not what she has been saying.  I'm just pointing out that, as she's wondering where the 'rumours' came from she needs look no further than herself as it was definitely the shop that she said was up for sale ... in her own words and all in black & white.  I have her newsletter and used to follow her blog but gave up doing the latter a couple of months ago as it was just repeated info most of the time.
